Valuation

Valuation

We craft custom valuation solutions. For simple businesses, we keep things simple.

For large, complicated, contentious, or high stakes projects, we apply a commensurate robust approach.

With all clients, we explore, probe, and analyze until we discover the key issues that make each business and intangible asset unique.

When needed, we adapt existing methods and create entirely new tools to quantify what’s special about each business and intangible asset.

How it works

01

Free consultation

To discuss your goals and how Crown Value can help you. At this point, it’s helpful if the client can provide basic business information like revenue, profit, number of employees, etc.

02

Define assignment

Crown Value will provide a fee quote, and send a contract

03

Information Gathering

Crown Value gathers financial, operational, sales, marketing, and legal information. We have a questionnaire and document request list to make this process easy and efficient. Crown Value also gathers information from other sources.

04

Valuation analysis

We analyze the data and use appropriate valuation methodologies to perform the appraisal.

05

We deliver the results

Typically, we provide a 100-page pdf file. We also offer summary reports, and when a report is not needed or desired, we convey an oral report.

How much does it cost?

Of course, the answer is, “it depends”. The cost will depend on the size and complexity of the business, if a written report is required, the level of scrutiny the valuation will receive, the value at stake, and the potential cost of problems. The complexity of the capital structure, derivative, or intangible asset can also influence the cost.

We customize our work to meet different budgets. We will work with you to ensure you obtain the valuation services you need. We need to consider your potential damage from losing a lawsuit or IRS audit. How much might you lose if you buy high or sell low? With an open and honest discussion about the facts involved in your case, we make sure you do not pay too much or receive too little.

Do you need to value something unusual?

  • A volatile and uncertain business situation?
  • A special niche market?
  • A complex capital structure?
  • A unique intangible asset?
Don’t worry. For Crown Value, the unusual is usual.
